Affiliate Disclosure

SavvyKin is free to read. We pay for that, and for the products we test, partly through affiliate links.

What that means

Some links on SavvyKin are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a product or subscription, the company may pay SavvyKin (published by SAGO LLC) a commission. You don’t pay anything extra. The price is the same as going to the vendor directly, and sometimes our link includes a discount the vendor offers through its affiliate program; when it does, we say so.

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) asks publishers to clearly disclose these relationships, and we agree with that. You should know when we might earn money from a recommendation.

How we mark affiliate links

  • Every page that contains affiliate links starts with a short Disclosure note, before the first affiliate link.
  • Yellow buttons (for example, “See Qustodio plans”) are always affiliate links, and each one has a line under it saying so. Links we earn nothing from are labeled “Not an affiliate link”.
  • All affiliate links, in buttons and in text, are tagged with rel="sponsored" in the page code, as search engines request.
  • If we share affiliate links in our emails or videos, we disclose it there too.

Commissions never change our rankings

  • We pay for every product we review with our own money.
  • We decide rankings from our testing and our published scoring method, not from commission rates.
  • We recommend products that don’t have an affiliate program when they’re the better choice, and we mention free options and built-in settings when they’re enough.
  • Brands can’t pay to be reviewed, ranked, or included in a “best of” list, and they don’t see our reviews before publication.
  • If a partner changes its commission or ends its program, our ranking doesn’t change because of it.
